AMU approves five new study centres





Coimbatore: A 14-year-old computer whizkid has been enrolled for a Master of Computer Applications programme in the School of Distance Education in Bharathiar University here. B Mohammed Suhail, a Class 9 student of a city school, was allowed to join the course this academic year by a committee set up by the university, after assessing his knowledge level and skills in both hardware and software peripherals, varsity sources said today. Suhail had been working in internet environment for the last eight years and developed creative skill by designing visiting cards, brochures, pamphlets and also good knowledge in black box testing and preparing test cases and bug report, they said. Besides, the boy, who credited his grandfather for his knowledge, was expert in assembling PCs, solving inkjet printer problems and was thorough in Microsoft operating systems, the sources said. The Syndicate of the university had given its approval for Suhail`s admission to MCA (Master in Computer Applications), they said.
